My practise has moved entirely online and includes provision of phone and video counselling services.  These formats allow you to access consistent service through the comfort of your home or office.

How Does Video Counselling Work?

The client downloads VSEE, a free web application designed to offer safe and secure telehealth services.  This app connects clients with healthcare providers and is used internationally in many health care disciplines.  This client and the provider "meet" online at the designated appointment time and communicate through this video conferencing software. I also like to let clients know that the servers for VSee.com are located in the United States are subject to the USA Patriot Act.

What is Hushmail?

Hushmail is an email service that offers higher levels of privacy and security than typical email providers.  I recommend that all clients, whether accessing distance or in-person services, consider opening a Hushmail account.  Please note that I do NOT offer email counselling.  I use this form of communication with clients strictly for scheduling and setting up appointment times.

How do I pay for sessions?

Unless otherwise agreed upon, fees for distance sessions are $120.00 per hour plus GST. Distance sessions can be paid for by email money transfer, Paypal or by mailing a cheque. Credit and Debit card payments are accepted for through Square Reader.

If you are a new or returning client feel free to contact me and we can discuss whether phone or video counselling are appropriate for you at this time.

 ** NEW AS OF 2015 **

Telehealth services are now covered through the First Nations Health Authority's Short Term Crisis Intervention Mental Health Counselling Benefit (STCIMHC) and through the Indian Residential School Support (IRS RHSP) program.
